Gold Door Gallery was one of the original shops to open its doors in Tlaquepaque over 36 years ago.

The Story began in 1974 when Fate intervened and Tom and Virginia Sawyer moved to Sedona. Virginia actually spotted an ad in the local newspaper related to a gallery for sale in the Tlaquepaque .

The couple bought the gallery, called Gold Door Gallery and started working in the gallery side by side, creating, designing, selling jewelry.

Tom and Virginia Sawyer gradually built Gold Door Gallery into a very well respected business that it is today.

Still a fan of fine gems, Tom uses his creativity and extended experience as a goldsmith to create unique jewelry. 

Virginia skillfully works day by day with the Gold Door Gallery sales associates, jewelry designers and providers.

Camelia Hightower- Manager, has an extensive jewelry related back ground and traveled the world as a buyer. She is a graduate of DCA and GIA and worked in high-end jewelry stores in Arizona. Her expertise in this business has allowed for new designs to be featured at the gallery.

Robert Livsey- is an Accredited Jewelry Professional that joined Gold Door Gallery in December 2011. He is a great member of the team, very skilled professional both in the retail business (he ran his own gallery for many years) and also in gemstones being a graduate of the respected GIA.
